Food Distribution Program
The food distribution program of the CYWA is the most robust program we offer to the residents/clients and people of the community. We have a diverse group of volunteers and donors who are dedicated to helping those in need.
We have a variety of donors that provide everything from fresh produce, baked goods, meat, and non-perishable items.
Among our food donors are: Chester County Food Bank, Philabundance, Lords Pantry, Whole Foods, Grocer’s Against Hunger, Walmart, Giant, Wegman’s, Acme, Paoli Friends, Wawa, and local farmers.
Volunteer Drivers to Pick Up Food
The CYWA food pantry in Coatesville needs volunteer drivers to pick up food donations at local stores on weekday mornings. Become a regular driver or be “on call” to fill in for other drivers.
One to two mornings a week, pickups usually take 1 – 2 hours and are completed by noon. (The van pickup on Wednesdays takes longer.) This includes loading food into your car or the CYWA van.
