CYWA COMMUNITY RESOURCES

Finding Food and Family Support in Coatesville

When your household needs help, choosing a first step can feel overwhelming. Start with the need that matters most today. You can ask about more than one service when you contact CYWA.

Start with groceries

Visit our Food Distribution page for pickup hours and registration details. Call before traveling if you need to confirm the schedule or ask about your first visit. Available food can vary.

If another location would work better for your household, use the Chester County Food Bank food finder. Contact the listed pantry to confirm its hours and service area.

Ask about parenting and early childhood resources

The CYWA Family Center supports families during pregnancy and the early childhood years. Ask about home visits, parenting guidance and available children’s supplies. Staff can explain participation requirements and current services.

Find the right housing contact

For homelessness or shelter referrals, call 211. Chester County Coordinated Entry provides screening and referrals; an inquiry does not guarantee a placement. Learn about Gateway Shelter or ask CYWA about its separate Housing Program.

Prepare for your conversation

  • Explain what your household needs most urgently.
  • Ask who handles the relevant program and what the next step involves.
  • Confirm hours, eligibility and any documents before visiting.
  • Use the website inquiry form for general questions; share sensitive records only through a process arranged with staff.
